Pino Mango was born in Lagonegro (Basilicata) in 1956.
He made his debut when he was a child in Lucania where played with various bands.
Later he began to write his own pieces. "Oro" was the first big international success, then "Australia", "Lei verrà'", "Odissea", "Bella d'estate", "Sirtaki", "Nella mia città", "Come Monna lisa", ecc.
His discs collects consented also in some European countries. The album of his flood maturity artistic was "Credo", which comes out in '97. He partecipated to San Remo's Festival of 1998 presenting "Luce", a song in which duetted with Zenima.
He is well-known in Italy thanks to the voice, only for stamp and vocal extension and for the Mediterranean pop sound.
His climb toward the notoriety had been slowly, with discs distanced in time, for the text research and musicality long meditated.
His songs had not been simple, on the contrary rather rich and articulated; their essence was made of elaborated and complex melodies, which requested very good vocal agility, that is among the best virtues of this interpreter.
His most beautiful songs are collected in the disc "L'Oro di Mango vol.1 and "L'Oro di Mango vol.2".
